Wood continues to surprise us. Filling stations are usually associated with steel structures and flashy colours. However, there’s now a filling station in Den Oever made of white cross-laminated timber and grey-stained Plato Fraké cladding, with wavy red steel foil in between. Het Houtblad magazine paid extensive attention to the architecture in its October 2012 issue.
