De Kennemerduinen Visitor Centre, located on the Zeeweg towards Bloemendaal aan Zee, forms the main entrance of Zuid-Kennemerland National Park. The visitor centre features an information desk, exhibition, shop and a Duincafé.
The design of the visitor centre is based on a 7th-century dune farm, the remains of which were found in the National Park near Groot Olmen. Examples of sustainable features in the design include solar panels, rainwater collection for the toilets and the use of sustainable materials. The person responsible for this very special design is architect Dirk Vlaar of BBHD architecten.
