The population has been involved in this initiative right from the outset (2008). De Statie Multifunctional Centre was built between March 2011 and February 2013. De Statie itself contains a lively section of local society, as it houses 2 primary schools, a childcare centre, a sports hall, a library, a youth club, a theatre, a meeting room, a multifunctional room, a ‘creative’ room and a billiard room, among other things.
